Rendering of the New Ideal Lofts

New Ideal Lofts is a 44-unit condominium project involving the renovation of the former New Ideal Building at 1801-1813 2nd Avenue North, which housed the New Ideal department store from 1941 to 1990.

H2 Real Estate announced the project in 2018. The plans then included plans to include the 3-story annex between the main building and the courtyard adjoining The Pizitz. Creature designed and constructed the renovations.

In July 2019 the company revised their plans because the older building was deemed unsalvageable. The revised plan allowed for lofts ranging from 390 square-foot "micro units" to two-bedroom 1,900 square-foot lofts.
