The Night Flight Big Band is a jazz orchestra based in Birmingham. The group, founded and directed by trumpeter/arranger Mart Avant, performs every 1st and 3rd Wednesday night at Ona's Music Room. The group recently recorded its first CD release, titled SuperBlue - Eric Essix and the Night Flight Big Band.
