Operation T-Bone was a multi-jurisdictional investigation of Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) fraud led by the Jefferson County District Attorney's office. Participating law enforcement agencies raided eleven convenience stores in the Birmingham area on June 3, 2015 and arrested seventeen individuals for fraud. According to authorities the stores and their inventories would be subject to "forfeiture and condemnation."
