Stanley R. Virciglio, a third-generation grocer, is the owner of the Homewood and Crestline Piggly-Wiggly stores.

He is a graduate of Birmingham-Southern College and the University of Alabama.

In 1992, Virciglio scored two holes-in-one during one round of a charity tournament at Indian Hills Country Club in Tuscaloosa.

Virciglio and his wife, Billie reside in Vestavia Hills and have four children. His son, Andy is a partner in Homewood's Tria Market at SoHo Square.

In 2006 Virciglio was named one of six "Men of Substance and Style" by Saks Fifth Avenue for an event benefitting prostate cancer research at the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center.
