Reverend Abraham Woods, Jr Boulevard is a street in Birmingham's north side, constituting the section of 8th Avenue North from Center Street to 34th Street North. The street was renamed in 2008 to honor Civil Rights activist Abraham Woods shortly after his death. The honor was proposed by Mayor Larry Langford and approved by the Birmingham City Council on November 18.
