The 1910 Alabama football team

The 1910 Alabama Crimson Tide football team represented the University of Alabama during the 1910 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association season. It was the Tide's 18th overall season and its 15th in the SIAA. Head coach Guy Lowman, a former Missouri assistant, guided the team to a 4-4 record (0-4 in the conference) in his sole season in Tuscaloosa. Vanderbilt Commodores and Auburn Tigers both went undefeated in conference play and were co-champions.

Schedule

  • October 1: Alabama defeated the Birmingham-Southern Panthers 25-0 on The Quad. Adrian Van de Graaff's two touchdowns paced the Tide offense. The defense added a two-point safety.
  • October 8: After a slow start, Alabama beat the Marion Institute Tigers 26-0 on campus. Robert Bumgardner scored three touchdowns.
  • October 15: The Georgia Bulldogs shut out Alabama 22-0 at the Alabama State Fairgrounds in Birmingham in a game marred by penalties. One Georgia player was ejected for calling the referee a "robber".
  • October 22: The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets shut out Alabama 36-0 in their return to Tuscaloosa.
  • November 5: The Mississippi Rebels beat Alabama 16-0 in a game played at Greenville, Mississippi.
