2008 BSC Panthers football

The 2008 Birmingham-Southern College Panthers football season is the 2nd for the college since the program was resurrrected in 2006. Eddie Garfinkle replaces former Alabama Crimson Tide and Birmingham Stallions reciever Joey Jones as head coach for 2008. The Panthers went 1-7 in varsity play, and 2-0 in junior varsity games during their 2007 season. The Panthers will play their home games at Regions Park, at Vestavia Hills High School, and at the new BSC Athletics Complex.

Schedule and results

August 30: Defeated Campbell 12-6 in Buies Creek, North Carolina. It was Campbell's first game since 1950.
September 6: Lost to LaGrange College 34-31 at Vestavia Hills High School
September 20: at Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee
October 4: vs Trinity College at Regions Park in Hoover
October 11: at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana
October 18: vs Austin College at Hoover High School
October 25: at Centre College in Danville, Kentucky
November 1: at Colorado College in Colorado Springs, Colorado
November 8: vs University of the South at BSC Athletics Complex (homecoming)
November 15: vs Millsaps College at BSC Athletics Complex
