Twenty-eighth Street South (28th Street South) is a two-way north-south street in Birmingham's Southside neighborhood, running south from the Powell Avenue to 7th Avenue South. The street (formerly Poplar Street) resumes between Clairmont Avenue to Rhodes Park, with another two block section (formerly Waucoma Street) continuing from Highland Avenue to a dead end just short of Pawnee Avenue.
