Abe Houma

Pa Ebou "Abe" Houma (born in Gambia) is the owner of Jinsei Sushi in Homewood's SoHo Square and Maki Fresh in Huntsville and Birmingham's Cahaba Village.

Houma studied business at Jefferson State Community College and began washing dishes at Jinsei when it was first opened by John Cassimus and Charleston Wilson in 2006. He worked his way up as a busser and server, and then bought the restaurant along with three Maki Fresh locations from Cassimus in 2018.
