Artisan Flats

Artisan Flats is a 120-unit apartment complex on the site of the former Huston Biscuit Co. building at 2722 5th Avenue South in the Lakeview district of Birmingham's Southside neighborhood.

The project was announced by Harbert Realty Services in 2021 as a condominium development. Fifth Dimension Architecture & Interiors designed the building, which was constructed by CBI Construction Services. Some elements of the older buildings on the site were salvaged and re-used in the new construction. Tenant amenities include a rooftop pool deck with grilling stations and fire pits, a club room, fitness center, co-working space and a coffee bar.

The building opened to tenants in early 2024. Arlington Properties leases and manages the complex.
