The Taste of Fourth Avenue Jazz Festival is held annually in the 4th Avenue North Historical District, jointly sponsored by the Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame and Urban Impact of Birmingham. In addition to music, the event offers food, swing dance lessons and exhibits, as well as films in the Carver Theatre (as part of the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival). The festival features nationally known jazz artists, as well as local jazz artists.

- 1:30 pm - Mayor Bernard Kincaid and Councilman William Bell - Official Opening
- 2:00 pm - Daniel "Jose" Carr, Jr.
- 3:00 pm - AJHoF Youth Ensemble / Joseph Etzine Trio
- 4:00 pm - Jerome Chapman
- 5:00 pm - Annie Sellick with Ray Reach and Cleve Eaton
- 6:00 pm - Foxxy Fatts and Company
- 7:00 pm - Gary Motley
- 8:00 pm - Dee Lucas
- 9:00 pm - Ronnie Laws
- 10:00 pm - Jean Carne
- 11:00 pm - Donald Witherspoon as "Billy Ocean"
- 11:15 pm - Birmingham Heritage Band
