Kevin Maddox is the superintendent of schools for Hoover City Schools.

Maddox earned his bachelor’s degree in education from Jacksonville State University in 1992. He then received his master’s in educational administration from the University of Montevallo in 1996, and later also earned an educational specialist degree from Montevallo. Shortly before his promotion to Homewood High principal, he completed his doctorate at Samford University.

In 2007, Maddox was appointed principal of Homewood Middle School. The following year he was appointed principal of Homewood High when previous principal Vic Wilson decided to return to Mountain Brook High School as that school's principal. In 2012, he was promoted to assistant superintendent for business operations.

In 2023 Maddox was hired to succeed Dee Fowler as superintendent for Hoover City Schools.
