The 2019 UAB Blazers played the 27th season of football for UAB, their 21st in Division I-A, and their 18th as a member of Conference USA. The team was coached by Bill Clark, in his fourth season as head coach, not including two years that the program was on hiatus.

The team was led by sophomore running back Spencer Brown and senior quarterback A. J. Erdely. Other standouts included senior tight end Logan Scott, senior linebacker Craig Kanyangarara, and junior center Lee Dufour.

UAB accepted an invitation to play the Appalachian State University Mountaineers of the Sun Belt Conference in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl on December 21.
