11th Avenue North (or Eleventh Avenue North, formerly just 11th Avenue) is an east-west street running through Smithfield and north of downtown Birmingham and continuing in sections through the east side of the city.

11th Avenue North begins between Center Street and 1st Street North in College Hills and runs eastward for just over two blocks, terminating at 3rd Street North near Malfunction Junction and Knesseth Israel and Beth-El Cemetery. The street resumes at 13th Street North as a continuation of 11th Terrace North and proceeds eastward past Oak Hill Cemetery and the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex, terminating at 29th Place North where I-59/20 interrupts.

11th Avenue North picks up again for a short section in Norwood between 32nd Street North and Vanderbilt Road, then again as a continuation of 35th Place North to 37th Place North, and again between 39th Street North and 40th Street North. The avenue picks up at 42nd Street North and bends around to Richard Arrington Jr Boulevard North. Another segment picks up at 44th Street North and proceeds to 47th Street North. Another small strip of 11th Avenue connects 47th Place North to 48th Street North.

Northeast of Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport another section of 11th Avenue North runs between 90th Street North and 93rd Street North, and then north another block to Tarrant Huffman Road in Brownsville Heights.
