William Marsh Acker, Jr. was (born October 25, 1927; died June 21, 2018 in Birmingham) was a District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama.

Acker attended Marion Military Institute and Woodlawn High School. He served in the U. S. Army prior to graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Birmingham Southern College.

Judge Acker practiced law in Birmingham for 30 years. In 1982 he was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Alabama, faithfully serving for almost 35 years until age 88.

He was a member at Highlands United Methodist Church. He was married to Martha Walters Acker and they had a son, William, and a daughter, Stacey.
