Template for Reservoirs of the Coosa River
Sterling Foster
*Lee, can you create a template for Reservoirs of the Coosa River, based on the chart at the bottom of the page of the Lake Mitchell article?  I'd like it to look it a template before I add it to the Lay Lake article, plus it might tempt me to write the articles for the other reservoirs. --Wheresdib 07:10, 19 January 2008 (PST)
* I meant to have taken the dates from the SHPC page. I must have used the wrong set. My bad. --Dystopos 15:33, 9 April 2010 (PDT)
** How about one for the whole Coosa River?  It still needs many additions, but I don't know enough about the river and which features are in the Birmingham district to make them. In addition to what is visible, there's a placeholder for tributaries. --Lkseitz 11:47, 20 January 2008 (PST)
*** Thanks!  I didn't think about the dams, that's a great idea.  I'll have to look at the maps again, but I think the only one out of the District will be Jordan Lake.  --Wheresdib 19:24, 20 January 2008 (PST)

I appreciate you making the page for "Alabama Art Monthly." It was definitely a labor of love and a great publication that brought the arts together like never before in the state and it was very much enjoyed but the powers that be decided against it so it went by the wayside since I could no longer afford to foot the bill. --Artsojourner 14:25, 20 February 2008 (PST)

**** Okay, Bhamwiki:Licensing templates is updated, Bhamwiki:Media templates has been written, and the media templates categorized into their own category.  It looks like ads, logos, and programs still need media templates, as those three types of things still have individual fair use templates.  I suspect it was something you were going to do, took a break from, and then forgot about.  I might work on it in the future, but not today.  If you want to, I think the following templates can be deleted, but you might want to double-check that we're not using them: Template:Fair use-Book,Template:Fair use-CD, and Template:Fair use-Program. --Lkseitz 12:12, 5 May 2010 (PDT)

Invasive vs Non-native
I changed your new "invasive" categories to "non-native" for two reasons. First, "invasive" is a subset of non-native, which can include intentional or incidental introductions which do not spread uncontrollably or crowd out native species; and second because the determination of whether something is invasive is a bit of a judgment call and I don't know whose authority we would use to back up our categorization. --Dystopos (talk) 06:26, 20 November 2017 (PST)
* Okay, that's fine. I wasn't sure "invasive" was the best term to use, but decided to "be bold" and just do it. Yours also has the advantage of being sorted closely together. --Lkseitz (talk) 05:05, 21 November 2017 (PST)

Might I suggest a single graphic highlighting the six counties of the Birmingham-Hoover MSA in one color and the Cullman, Jasper, and Talladega-Sylacauga MicroSAs each in different colors. Then we can use one graphic for all the articles and just note the color(s) for the current article in the caption. --Lkseitz (talk) 21:19, 16 June 2021 (PDT)

  • But unlike other Bhamwiki articles, the years require no outside research (beyond the Wikipedia page for that year for context). That makes them easier to crank out. And you created a whole freakin' wiki! I believe that counts for something. --Lkseitz 07:31, 23 August 2012 (PDT)

Beechnut Street

I used "Locations" instead of "Notable locations" because the lodge and the gas station/restaurant are literally the only 2 buildings on the street. --Wheresdib 08:08, 26 November 2012 (PST)

  • Ah, okay. --Lkseitz 10:08, 26 November 2012 (PST)

Overton Park

Now there's a third Overton Park in Mountain Brook. Link. You'll need to update your About templates, I am unfamiliar with them. --Wheresdib 08:23, 19 November 2013 (PST)

  • Since Bhamwiki doesn't let us create templates with a variable number of arguments yet, we just point the last part to the disambiguation page. --Lkseitz 15:08, 19 November 2013 (PST)
    • I need to talk to Mr. Sheets again. At this rate, we may be having a tech summit with dinner in March. --Dystopos 06:25, 20 November 2013 (PST)

User groups & BBS numbers

  • I ran across this today. If you're not the one who put it there, it may interest you. --Dystopos 08:56, 9 January 2014 (PST)
    • I don't remember if I provided that particular file, but I provided some of these. Mainly, I provided the impetus for someone else to dig up the complete set of files and provide them. But I appreciate you thinking of me when you saw it! Guess I should finish my web pages on the B'ham BBS scene. --Lkseitz 09:11, 9 January 2014 (PST)

Southern disComfort

Hey, 'Dib, we could probably use and update to the Southern disComfort article if you have a chance. Of course, I'm presuming you know something of the event's status. --Lkseitz 09:44, 2 May 2014 (PDT)

Steve

  • I found the text of the November 2006 article on a post by my mom on bookcrossing. She changed names to protect our identities. I assumed you were "Steve". Did I get that right? --Dystopos (talk) 15:15, 16 September 2015 (PDT)

Administrator

I've made you and Darren administrators. The front page is now open to your business. --Dystopos (talk) 07:40, 1 March 2016 (PST)

  • Mwahahahaha! The power is mine! --Lkseitz (talk) 06:15, 2 March 2016 (PST)

  • Okay, that's fine. I wasn't sure "invasive" was the best term to use, but decided to "be bold" and just do it. Yours also has the advantage of being sorted closely together. --Lkseitz (talk) 05:05, 21 November 2017 (PST)
    • Being bold improved the project. Good job. --Dystopos (talk) 06:31, 21 November 2017 (PST)

MSAs

Thanks for tackling that MSA/CSA stuff. I took one look and backed away slowly. --Dystopos (talk) 07:03, 16 June 2021 (PDT)

  • No problem. Sorry I didn't realize the changes sooner. I noted that we need a new graphic.

BSC campaign

I guess I have to call them back and tell them that I won't, in fact, be able to cover their entire operating deficit. --Dystopos (talk) 08:31, 20 December 2022 (PST)
