The Entrepreneurial Center was a business incubator owned by the City of Birmingham at 110 12th Street North. Beginning in 2001 the Entrepreneurial Center also managed UAB's Office for the Advancement of Developing Industries (OADI). Other participating agencies included Jefferson County, and the Birmingham Business Assistance Network, the Birmingham Business Resource Center.

In 2007 the center and OADI relocated to the new Innovation Depot on 1st Avenue North between 12th and 13th Streets.

The Center's 47,000 square-foot building was subsequently purchased for $2 million by the engineering firm Gallet & Associates, which relocated from Beacon Parkway West. Technology firm Valeri continued to lease space in the building. Gallet was acquired in 2009 by Terracon, which continued to run its Birmingham office there until moving to Hoover in 2017. In 2018 Pack Health and Omega Realty Group leased the building.
