This is a List of homicides in 2024, including homicide cases reported throughout the Birmingham District. At least 1 homicide has been reported in the area for the year. Note that a "homicide" refers to the cause of death as determined by a medical examiner, not to the crime of murder as charged by prosecutors and adjudicated through the courts.

January 2: An unnamed female, 45, was found shot to death alongside her son at their home on Glenn Gap Road northeast of Gadsden. A male family member was taken into custody at the scene. (report)
