The finswimming competition at the 2022 World Games took place on July 8 and July 9 in the natatorium at the Birmingham CrossPlex. Finswimming has been an event since the inaugural 1981 World Games in Santa Clara, California, and the Birmingham edition marked the eleventh time finswimming was included as a regular event at the World Games. Finswimming is an underwater sport consisting of four techniques involving swimming with the use of fins either on the water's surface using a snorkel with either monofins or bifins or underwater with monofin either by holding one's breath or using open circuit scuba diving equipment.
