America's First Federal Credit Union is a non-profit community credit union based in Birmingham. It was founded in 1936 as the Iron and Steel Worker's Credit Union. Since then it has grown to a full-service financial institution with more than 153,000 members, nearly $1.5 billion in assets and 19 branch locations.

The Credit Union was established by nineteen workers at U.S. Steel's Ensley Works in July 1936, and initially was operated out of a cigar box. In 1946 the growing institution moved into the vacant Bank of Alabama Building at 1724 Avenue E Ensley.

The company's distinctive headquarters building at 1200 4th Avenue North was once well-known for its bright orange color. It has since been re-clad in warm gray. A four-story extension was added to the building in 2018.

It received a community charter from the National Credit Union Administration in 2005.
