Not to be confused with Finley Boulevard.

Finley Avenue is a street running along Possum Valley in North Birmingham just north of the East Thomas Yards and Village Creek and south of the Louisville and Nashville and Southern Railroads. The avenue is named for the Southern Railway's "Finley Memorial Yard", which was named for William Finley, the railroad's second president, who had died in 1913.

Finley Avenue West runs from Arkadelphia Road/Bankhead Highway on the west to 11th Place North. It then changes to Finley Avenue North and merges with 22nd Avenue North at 16th Street North.

Six-lane Finley Boulevard was constructed parallel to Finley Avenue.
