1979: The McAdory Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
1964: The Supreme Court ruled in Katzenbach v. McClung that Ollie's Barbecue was subject to the public accommodations clause of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
1962: Bethel Baptist Church was bombed for a third time.
1904: The William Elias B. Davis statue was dedicated at Capitol Park.
