This article is about the Southside Birmingham street. For the Homewood street, see 18th Street South Homewood.

18th Street South is a north-south street in Birmingham's Five Points South neighborhood. The street begins at the southern end of 18th Street North at the Railroad Reservation and the 18th Street underpass. From there, it continues south for 16 blocks, through the UAB Medical Center and up the northern flank of Red Mountain until it is interrupted by Ramsay High School.

Another short section of 18th Street South connects 13th Avenue South with 13th Court South. The street resumes at 14th Avenue South and turns into 15th Avenue South at Valley View Park. 18th Street South Homewood picks up south of Vulcan Park and continues south to Oxmoor Road, where it becomes Roxbury Road.
