The UAB Athletics Hall of Fame was established in 2009 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the UAB Blazers athletics program. The second class was nominated in 2012 for induction in 2013 and the Hall plans to induct new classes every three years thereafter.

The Class of 2009 was inducted at the October 1 football game against Southern Miss. A banquet was held the following night at The Club.
