- 12-story, 1,500 space parking deck (2019) and 6-story, 115,000 square-foot medical office building (2020) for Children's Hospital on the block bounded by 3rd and 4th Avenue South and 16th and 17th Streets. Designed by Williams-Blackstock and built by Brasfield & Gorrie for $54 million. (report)

- 17-story, 196-unit apartment and retail tower at 20th Street South and 10th Avenue South. Proposed by The Opus Group with conceptual design by Myefski Architects. (report)
- Villas at Titusville, 164-unit mixed income housing (Hope VI) at the site of Loveman Village
- Redevelopment of Southtown Court housing community by the Housing Authority of Greater Birmingham
- Birmingham Civil Rights Movement National Park, with potential headquarters at the A. G. Gaston Motel
- A new building for the UAB College of Arts and Sciences on the southwest corner of the UAB Campus Green. Construction is expected to begin in 2018. The building is expected to have 116,000 sq. ft. and cost $39.5 million.
- Redevelopment of the Slossfield Community Center as a Salvation Army Worship and Community Outreach Center.
- The Denham, redevelopment of former Merchants & Manufacturers Terminal at 1143 1st Avenue South for 65-66 apartments and 86,000 square feet of retail/office.
- Berman Enterprises proposed mixed-use redevelopment of Trinity Hospital site on Montclair Road

- A. G. Gaston Freedom Center research center in the Civil Rights District, incorporating the A. G. Gaston Motel and possibly functioning as a U.S. Institute of Human Rights.
