AIA Birmingham, chartered in 1965, is the Birmingham area chapter of the American Institute of Architects, and is part of AIA Alabama. The group represent approximately 770 architects, interns and affiliates in a six county area (Jefferson, Blount, Bibb, Fayette, St Clair and Tuscaloosa). The purpose of the organization is to promote good design and practice in architecture and to represent the profession.

The chapter's offices are located at 107 21st Street South. The executive director is Rhea Williams.

The Birmingham chapter also organizes an N2 Architecture program for area middle schools.
