2013 Birmingham municipal election

The 2013 Birmingham municipal election was held in on Tuesday August 27, 2013 to fill the positions of Mayor of Birmingham and all nine seats on the Birmingham City Council and Birmingham Board of Education.

Many voters changed districts since the 2011 election due to redistricting following the 2010 census.

The official qualification period was from June 28-July 12. Runoff elections are scheduled for October 8, 2013. Elected officials begin their term of office on October 22.
